During November and December 2024, students of the 1st Special Kindergarten of Larissa visited the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology of the University of Thessaly as part of the environmental education program The Green Mission(H ΠΡΑΣΙΝΗ ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΗ).
The interactive program aimed to raise awareness about environmental challenges, with a particular focus on the impact of climate change on plant production and collective approaches to sustainability.
During their visit, students participated in educational and interactive activities at the Department and the Plant and Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory, where they were introduced to concepts related to plant production and environmental protection through hands-on learning and creative engagement.
The activities were carried out with the support of faculty members, researchers, educators, and creative facilitators who contributed to the successful implementation of the program.
