From February 9–13, 2026, the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology of the University of Thessaly hosted two educational activities as part of the “Open Days 2026” initiative, taking place in the Department’s laboratories. The events, titled “Little Biochemists” and “Biotechnologist for a Day,” brought together secondary school students and teachers, who interacted with faculty members as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. Participants engaged in hands-on educational activities designed to introduce them to modern concepts and practices in biochemistry and biotechnology, fostering scientific curiosity and engagement with current research.
