Paraskevi Amanatidou holds a BSc in Biochemistry & Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly. She completed her MSc in Biotechnology – Quality Assessment in Nutrition and the Environment at the same University. She was also involved as a Research Associate in the Department of Environmental Sciences in the FRIDA project, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation (H.F.R.I.), which explored the interaction between nitrification inhibitors and soil microbes. She is pursuing her PhD at the Laboratory of Environmental & Plant Biotechnology in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, under the supervision of Prof. Dimitrios Karpouzas, with her research focusing on exploring the potential nitrification inhibition of plants from the Greek flora for discovering of novel Biological Nitrification Inhibitors (BNIs).
