Chloën Lhomme graduated from the University of Pharmacy of Paris Cité. She proceeded with a Master’s degree in “Microbiology, environment and Health” in the University of La Sorbonne in France, Paris. The title of her thesis was “The Spongilla lacustris holobiont as a potential bioindicator model for urbanized freshwater environments”. Since January 2025, she has been a PhD student in the Plant and Environmental Biotechnology laboratory, under the supervision of Professor Dimitrios Karpouzas and Assistant Professor Sotirios Vasileiadis. During her PhD thesis, she is studying the impact of veterinary drugs on the soil microbiota diversity and functions. She also has a focus on the influence of pharmaceuticals on the development and dissemination of the antimicrobial resistance genes in the soil.
