Angeliki Planaki

PhD

Angeliki graduated from the Department of Public and One Health at the University of Thessaly. She then pursued an MSc in “Applications of Molecular Biology – Genetics – Diagnostic Biomarkers” at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Since December 2025, she has been a PhD student in the Plant and Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory under the supervision of Assistant Professor Liadaki Kalliope.

Her PhD thesis is titled “Pharmacogenomic analysis in autoimmune rheumatic diseases.” This thesis aims to investigate the response of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases to biological agents through an integrative approach encompassing genome, transcriptome, and proteome level analyses, with the objective of identifying biomarkers predictive of treatment response at the individual level.
