Chrysovalantou Moutzourelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Life Sciences at the University of Thessaly, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, in Greece. Her thesis was titled: “Study of the Role of Microorganisms in the Degradation of the Veterinary Anthelmintic Drug Albendazole in Soils from Livestock Farms in Lesvos”. She later earned her Master’s degree in Integrated Plant Protection and Environmental Management Systems from the Agricultural University of Athens. Since November 2022, she has been pursuing her PhD at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly, under the supervision of Dr. Dimitrios Karpouzas. Her research focuses on evaluating the impact of synthetic and biological nitrification inhibitors on soil microbial communities and greenhouse gas emissions. She has also contributed as a co-author to one publication.
