Eleni Rafaila Lamprou earned her bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of the Aegean in Lemnos. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in the ECOTROPHELIA competition, where her team received an award for their innovative product. Her thesis in Nanotechnology led to the publication of her research titled, “Optimization of Silver Nanoparticle Synthesis by Banana Peel Extract Using Statistical Experimental Design, and Testing of Their Antibacterial and Antioxidant Properties.” After returning to her hometown, she pursued a master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetic Biology, and Diagnostic Markers at the University of Thessaly. Her master’s thesis involved her first research experience in a plant and environmental laboratory, where she explored the interactions between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and rhizobia in Lotus japonicus, which deepened her commitment to a career in academia. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Thessaly, working under the supervision of prof. D.
